For more than 40 years, MUST Ministries has established itself as a servant leader caring for those in need in the Marietta, Smyrna and Canton/Cherokee county communities.  Founded in 1971 by the Rev. Wayne Williams, MUST Ministries' initial programs included a grocery bus ministries for the elderly, a youth tutoring program and outreach ministries to "alienated" young people.  Today, MUST is helping people in the community break the cycle of poverty by providing basic needs such as groceries, hot meals, housing, emergency shelter, employment services and clothing.  MUST Ministries is a non-profit entity and provides all services for free and without regard to race or religious beliefs.

 

General Description:

This position will provide support and assistance to the Case Manager for the daily operation of the Elizabeth Inn Shelter. 

Multiple positions available: Friday-Sunday 10:30 pm-6:00 am; Monday, Wed., Sat., Sun. 3:30pm-10:30pm

 

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Facilitating client Check-In Breathalyzer and drug screens.
  • Leading group facilitation of New Resident Orientation.
  • Overseeing chore time management.
  • Assisting with meal time preparation and monitoring in community kitchen.
  • Preparing and/or responding to email.
  • Preparing beginning/end of shift documentation.
  • Conducting shelter rounds and security check.
  • Assisting clients with questions and/or concerns.
  • Supports learning through performance of essential job functions and performing other duties and functions as necessary or as assigned.

     

    Essential Job Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent.
  • Two years work experience in the Human Service field or one year experience plus one year of studies in Human Services or related field.
  • Good organizational skills.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Microsoft Outlook, and Pathways (preferred).
  • Problem solving and group facilitation skills.
  • CPR and First Aid certified strongly preferred.
  • Consistent attendance is expected.
