We have a full-time/part-time opening for a Deli Coordinator.

Must be able to work various shifts per week.

Requirements

Job Summary:  Responsible for completing customer food orders and maintaining the deli area. Completes food safety checks and abides by state and food regulations. Maintains product preparation, quality, cleanliness, and inventory control standards.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 

Responsible for the operations and cleanliness of the deli area.

Responsible for maintaining food service standards in compliance with the state regulations.

Demonstrates good leadership and interpersonal skills while motivating staff to achieve high level of performance.

Stocks all deli products, prepares the coffee island and assists in maintaining the cleanliness and quantity of the coffee.

Maintains cleanliness of production and service equipment, kitchen, storeroom and dining areas.

Inspects all equipment and storage facilities to ensure that the equipment is in proper working order.

Strives to achieve gross profit goals and costs.

Establishes schedules for the deli staff.

Analyzes financial statements, reviews income and costs relative to goals and takes corrective actions as necessary.

Responsible for training staff and directing team members on customer service, speed, and consistency of products. This includes following portion guidelines and recipes.

Follows and implements food policies and procedures along with abiding by Subway food policies and procedures, if there is a Subway chain in the store.

Leads by example and sets a tone for continuous improvement and total member satisfaction.

Assists in the ordering, control and inventory of products.

Must take the initiative on tasks and multi-tasking without supervision.

Provides creativity in the development and marketing of food service ideas and is responsible for communicating these marketing plans to the food service supervisor.

Responsible for monitoring and recording daily temperatures and times of products.

Records any and all products disposed of on the waste log.

Maintains the cleanliness of all fryers and with assistance, replaces the oil frequently.

Performs other duties as required.

Education and Training Required:

Must have a high school diploma or a GED.

Experience Requirements:

Six months of food service or food management experience preferred, but not required.

Must have Food Service Equipment knowledge and demonstrated adherence to safety and Sanitary standards.

Special Requirements:

Must be Serv Safe Certified or obtain certificate with a passing score within 90 days of hire.

Must acquire Subway University food safety certificate within 90 days of hire, if a Subway chain exists in the store.  

May be required to work holidays, weekends, overtime, or during hours other than those, which are considered as the normal work schedule.

Physical Demands:

Requires standing for extended periods of time.

Requires lifting 10-20 pounds of weight frequently and lifts or maneuvers up to 50 pounds of weight on occasion.
