Full-Time. Located on Kauai.
PURPOSE STATEMENT: The purpose of this position is to install, maintain, rearrange, repair and remove cable, closures, and other associated apparatus in the fiber optic plant network as transmission link for video, voice, data, and other special services. May perform Lineman and other related duties as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS:
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: High School diploma or equivalent is required. Requires alertness and attention to detail. Able to interpret schematical work orders and drawing to determine job specifications. Stable employment history. Minimum 4 years of Construction and splicing experience required.
SPECIAL SKILLS, KNOWLEDGES AND ABILITIES: Mathematical ability, attention to detail, concentration and alertness while performing work. Must be able to qualify for a valid Type-4 State of Hawaii driver’s license. Must be able to meet medical driver certification requirements as established by the DOT Federal Highway Safety Act. Must have valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.
