through the door. We get health care right.Purpose of Job: Provide the expertise and general support to teams in
reviewing, researching, investigating, negotiating and resolving all types of
appeals and grievances. Communicate with appropriate parties regarding appeals
and grievance issues, implications and decisions. Analyzes and identifies
trends for all appeals and grievances. May research and resolve written
Department of Insurance complaints and complex or multi-issue provider
complaints submitted by consumers and physicians/providers. Ideal candidates for the Appeal Supervisor role will:Primary Responsibilities:Ability to prioritize time sensitive workAbility to train and develop individual team membersFlexibility and demonstrate ability to change responding to the incoming workAbility to influence other business partners to adhere to Appeals ProcessSolid understanding of Excel and ability to create reports for Quality CouncilSound oral and written communication skillsExperience with presenting data/trends preferredDemonstrate ability to interact with difficult customersCommitted to fostering a high performing work environment while maintaining exceptional quality resultsLead by example, and provide support and coaching to a team of Appeal Assistants; responsible for coordinating priorities and daily activities of the work unit Ensure team of Appeal Assistants have the required training and information required to do their jobMonitor and improve performance & quality metrics across the team of Appeal Assistants Collaborate with other Supervisors to identify and improve service to our members, providers and staff• Handle escalated member calls when required

Requirements

Required Qualifications:HS Diploma/GED1+ years of supervisory experience3+ years of customer service experienceThe demonstrated ability to priority work and meet time sensitive deadlinesThe ability to navigate a Windows based environment and utilize Microsoft Office in a professional settingThe ability to work at least 40 hours per week anytime within the operating hours of the siteProficient English speakerPreferred Qualifications:Associate's DegreeKnowledge of healthcare and terminologyFacets and/or MACESS system experienceBilingual fluency with English and SpanishThere are several steps in our
