This Financial Analyst role supports the Industry Analytics and Rebate Operations within Optum Rx by performing tasks related to all aspects of trade rebate operations. This individual must be able to cross-reference, analyze, and interpret contract terms and data, develop financial models and track key performance metrics, and provide analytics to assist in business decisions.  This position will require familiarity interpreting large data sets across multiple platforms and streamlining them for improved usability and interpretation.
 
Primary Responsibilities:


Estimate rebate yield for new business opportunities and ad hoc financial analyses for existing clients

Forecast and track department financial goals

Create and share files with business partners in order to implement, QC, update, and administer individual client and book of business formularies and other files for rebate administration

Provide summarized dashboard reporting to management on a recurring basis

Reconcile rebate contract terms including ability to understand financial analysis of contracts

Query claim and rebate data to provide custom reports to internal stakeholders

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting or equivalent field
2+ years experience finance and/or accounting
Financial analysis experience
Intermediate MS Excel
Preferred Qualifications:

Budgeting and forecasting experience
SQL query, SAS and/or Tableau proficiency
MS Access experience
Relevant experience within managed care, health care, prescription benefit management or pharmaceutical industry
