About this job

Responsible for setting up, maintaining and breaking down the breakfast buffet and for maintaining the breakfast dining area while making sure the guests feel welcome, comfortable and well attended to at all times.

  • Prepare necessary supplies and cold foods prior to opening.
  • Prepare and set out hot foods.
  • Set up, maintain and clean coffee pot station – ensuring availability at all times.
  • Monitor food distribution, ensuring that buffet is replenished as necessary and that quality guidelines are meet.
  • Clean, clear and organize designated areas of kitchen and dining room to include sweeping and mopping of restaurant.
  • Check with customers to ensure that they are enjoying their food/beverage and take action to correct any problems.
  • Remove dishes and cups from tables.  
  • Wash dishes, utensils and cookware.
  • Stock and maintain refrigerator and pantry.
  • Take inventory of food, beverages and other supplies needed for each day.
  • Order/purchase food supplies as needed.
  • Organize and put away food orders.
  • Comply with all food, safety, and brand standards.

Perform all other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Requires a high school diploma or GED certificate. 
  • Must be able to work holidays and weekends.  
  • Must be friendly, customer service oriented and have server capabilities. 
  • Must satisfactorily complete Food Safety Training.  
  • Involves some lifting.  
  • No previous work-related skill, knowledge, or experience is needed.
