Mobile Diesel Mechanic - Full-time / Part-time

Aerotek Skilled Trades is looking for a Mobile Diesel Mechanic for the Louisville area. Candidates will be working for a third party vehicle/fleet service company that services large fleets of vehicles doing primarily preventative maintenance and light repair work. Customers include TruGreen, Nestle, Cintas, etc. This is a night shift position with hours ranging from 12 a.m. to 12 p.m. depending on work load. Mechanics will travel a 60 mile radius of Louisville.

Mechanics will be performing the following duties:

• Inspections and preventative maintenance checks
• Identifying maintenance issues through inspection process
• Repairing uncovered maintenance issues
• Documenting all uncovered repairs and maintenance work
• Documenting all materials used and ordering new supplies

This a state governed process that needs to be consistently done leading to steady work. Mechanics will be given their own truck and tablet to complete work orders. Candidates need to have their own tools.

Qualifications for the position are:

• 3+ years of diesel mechanic/technician experience
• Must have own mechanic tools
• DOT certification
• Strong documentation skills
