This position is responsible for numerous merchandising and operating functions of the Hershey Entertainment Complex Retail Department. Primary responsibilities include maintaining inventory control, planning and implementing overall store set up including visual merchandising and display presentation, manage personnel functions, and serving as departmental Manager on Duty.
Ideal candidate will be innovative and energetic; with previous experience executing visual store displays to attract and appeal to guests.

Job Functions:

  • Monitoring inventory control procedures
  • Executing seasonal set-up and layout of 20+ locations including visual displays
  • Ensure that all visual displays are clean, presentable, and in good working order and in proper positioning /composition to drive store sales.
  • Analyzing sales figures and implementing action plans
  • Hiring, training, managing, and scheduling of approximately 200 seasonal employees
  • Ensuring compliance with Child Labor Laws and company policies/procedures
  • Resolving customer opportunities 

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelors Degree in Business Management or related field (may substitute Associates Degree and minimum of 3 years of professional work experience)
  • Minimum two (2) years retail experience
  • Minimum of one (1) year supervisory experience (Hiring, Interviewing, Training, Management, Scheduling)
  • Must have a valid driver’s license
  • Must be 18 years or older


Additional Qualifications:

  • Prior theme/amusement park experience preferred
  • Strong interpersonal relationship skills, team-focused leadership style
  • Experience with planning and executing merchandise set up of multiple locations three to four times per year
  • Creative ability to produce visually appealing merchandise displays
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently with minimal supervision and make management decisions in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to follow through on details and planning
  • Ability to effectively supervise a diverse staff
  • Familiarity with computerized point-of-sale/inventory control systems
  • Strong customer service skills

Working Conditions:

  • Must be able to work a rotating schedule. Shifts rotate between 7:00 a.m. and Midnight, including weekends and holidays
  • 80% of shifts are spent walking
  • Must be able to safely lift 50 pounds
  • Must be able to work in a variety of weather conditions
  • Occasional travel is required
