SUMMARY: Responsible for welcoming and greeting guests, checking identification and/or completing sales transactions and controlling the flow of traffic by performing the following duties.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Welcome and greet customers in a professional and courteous manner. Provide information, converse with the guests waiting in line and control the flow of the queue. Check in guests using the Open Table reservation system and/or POS. Seat guests and parties according to venue procedures. Assist guests with special accommodations and in emergency situations.
  • Check identification to ensure that patrons are of legal age. Enforce alcohol awareness by monitoring intoxicated guests and assist guests upon exiting the venue by packaging purchased glassware.
  • Maintain cleanliness around the front/facade of the building.        
  • Understand and actively participate in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established Universal Orlando policy, procedures, training and Team Member involvement activities.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

SCOPE: Generally routine; established precedents; practices and procedures exist; detailed understanding of work unit.

QUALIFICATIONS: 

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and/or abilities required:     

      Consistent attendance is a job requirement.

EDUCATION:

  • High school degree or GED preferred.

EXPERIENCE:

  • 1-3 Years: One year customer service/guest relations experience preferred. 
  • Previous experience in a food and beverage environment helpful; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

While performing the duties of this job, the individual is required to:

  • Regularly (2/3 of the time or more) stand for prolonged periods; talk; hear audible alarms, voice commands with background noise; use hands and fingers to grip, pinch, handle or feel objects, tools or controls; close vision with or without corrective lens (clear vision at 20 inches or less); distance vision with or without corrective lens (clear vision at 20 feet or more);color vision (ability to identify and distinguish colors); peripheral vision (ability to observe an area that can be seen up and down or to the left and right while eyes are fixed on a given point; depth perception (vision, ability to judge distances and spatial relationships); adjust focus (ability to adjust the eye to bring an object into sharp focus while in changing light conditions e.g., sunshine to indoor or dark conditions); work in varied light conditions including low or diminished lighting; work in an environment with flashing lights including strobe lamps; maintain alertness and attentiveness up to 4 hours while working varying hours; maintain concentration/focus (e.g., ability to interpret the work environment and make decisions on predetermined operating policies and procedure).
  • Frequently (1/3 to 2/3 of the time) repeat motions more than twice per minute.
  • Occasionally (1/3 of the time or less) climb stairs / ladders; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; reach, pull, push with hands and arms below head; lift/push up to 20 pounds with control.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

While performing the duties of this job, the individual is required to:

  • Regularly (2/3 of the time or more) work in outdoor weather conditions to include direct sunlight, heat or cold; be exposed to loud noise levels (noise when raised conversation is needed).
