About this job
Our client - A Real Estate marketing/ printing company in Hayward, CA is currently looking for experienced and hardworking Press Operators for a temp-hire contract with the possibility of converting to full-time:
WHAT YOU WILL DO:
- Process and print production orders to company standards
- Perform preventive maintenance to equipment to ensure its optimum operation
- Perform maintenance functions including cleaning, replenishing consumables and replacing parts as needed
- Inspect the tools, ink and machines to make sure they are operating efficiently and loaded with the correct ink and paper.
- Performs daily/weekly/monthly maintenance on presses to ensure optimum output.
- Maintain highest quality of the job throughout production
- Communicate effectively with supervision, tech support, and other associates
- Inspect the details of each order to ensure the success of each job.
- Assist in all the other areas of production/manufacturing, as required

Desired Skills and Experience:
- Xerox IGen Operator certified with at least 1 year experience
- Technically and mechanically oriented
- Able to work at a fast pace to meet strict deadlines
- Dependable and punctual
- Able to work flexible hours and weekends when necessary
- Good verbal/written communication skills
- Able to read & interpret instructions, identify problems/missing information and address them proactively
- Detail oriented and organized, able to evaluate projects & provide input on productivity & quality improvements
- Experience managing multiple priorities
- Basic computer skills and efficient with the 10 key.Physical requirements
- Ability to lift 50 pounds.
- 60-80% of time standing and walking
- Working in a warehouse environment
- Working near running machinery
Education:
- High school degree or GED Required
- BS or BA desired
