Leverage your skills with REM South Central Services and REM Southwest Services and make an impact in people’s lives.We are seeking a passionate leader in the Redwood Falls MN area who has successfully directed professional program staff and has the ability to provide high quality services in multiple programs and service lines for individuals with disabilities, acquired brain injury, and other complex needs. The Area Director will oversee 5 Program Directors, approximately 100-130 employees, and approximately 60-70 individuals served.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead Program Directors to develop and maintain quality
  • Responsible for financial performance of the Program Director’s business unit
  • Implements area core growth strategy to increase census, maximize utilization and occupancy percentages
  • Assists with new development and implementation of new programs
  • Maintains and fosters relations with case managers, families, and referral agents; participates in building relationships with local legislators and government officials
  • Review and recommend policies and procedures to enhance program efficiency, and use technical and analytical tools to measure performance and productivity.
  • Ensure high level of quality services in all programs
  • Ensure timely reporting to both internal and external agencies
  • High energy, goal-oriented, and an ability to inspire people
  • Performs Program Director functions as needed
Qualifications

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree required
  • Three to six years of supervisory experience in a program providing direct support services to persons with disabilities or persons age 65 and older
  • Designated Coordinator recognition as determined by federal and state regulations required; Qualified Intellectual Disabilities Professional recognition as determined by federal and state regulations preferred
  • Eligible as determined by the Bureau of Criminal Apprehension, the Department of Human Services, and the Company’s Corporate Compliance Plan
  • Valid driver’s license and driving record that meets insurability requirements as defined by the Company’s insurance carrier
