SMX is seeking the skills of a Sandblast operator who would report directly to the Production Manager. The Sandblast operator is to perform a limited number of plating department operations to assist the platers. These responsibilities include sandblasting, glass bead blasting, roto blast cleaning, racking and unracking parts to be plated, and masking parts to be plated. Heat treat duties will include a variety of duties such as packing and unpacking furnace loads and cleaning parts.
Industry: Manufacturing.
Duties: Some sandblasting experience is preferred. Strong knowledge of and experience performing setups including a selection of speeds and feeds and making machine adjustments and corrections. Ability to verify part conformity using micrometers, calipers, and dial indicators. Ability to read and analyze engineering prints. Strong math skills. Experience participating in Kaizen Events focused on process improvements using lean manufacturing techniques. Ability to relate to team members well and ability to communicate clearly and concisely.
