Description

The purpose of the Social & Emerging Media Marketing Manager is to connect our brands to consumers/shoppers emerging digital media channels. The role strives to find new and innovative ways to communicate our brand and partner messages giving us a competitive advantage. The role requires strong communication and presentation skills, understanding of social and digital media landscape and collaboration skills to actively manage internal and external partners. The roles success will be judge on the ability to be forward thinking and visionary to create scalable, replicable and measureable emerging marketing programs that drive the business goals.

Accountabilities

· Educate Marketing on the use of emerging media to reach our consumers and shoppers

o Understand the consumer media and technology landscape and user trends

o Present applicable trends/opportunities to marketing teams

o Create and manage digital education series to the marketing team

· Provide thought leadership and consistent communication to DPS and Partners

o Provide expertise in emerging technology arena and share information with DPS teams

o Provide recommendations for communicating to consumers in new ways to achieve business goals

o Understand and extend DPS business objectives to key media and technology partners to create opportunities

· Assist in the development of digital and emerging media programs

o Work closely and partner with brand teams to understand business needs in advisory capacity

o Ideate and initiate test programs with partners

· Development of strategy and process for identifying, implementing and measuring innovative and emerging digital programs to drive ROI

o Understand and utilize data DPS can measure the impact on sales

o Experience managing projects and relationships involving technical language

Qualifications

  • 5 years with consumer facing social strategy
  • 5 years of experience managing a social platform
  • 3 years social media buying & evaluation
  • Bachelors degree
