Position Summary Exciting opportunity for a Pharmacy Technician in the pharmacy to excel in a complex, high impact filling role and positively impact the lives of others. As a Pharmacy Technician working in the backend of the pharmacy, you would be responsible for all aspects of filling prescriptions in the Control Room and ensuring the coordination of safe and effective drug distribution systems. You get to manually fill the prescriptions based on the predetermined needs of each Long Term Care Facility. A successful Filling Pharmacy Technician will need to be accurate and detail oriented while pulling the correct drug, strength and brand as indicated on each prescription label.
As a Pharmacy Technician in the backend you will be standing for the length of your shift. Good written and verbal communication skills for interacting with all levels of staff is also required. You will need to be able to do moderate lifting, bending and twisting as you select the necessary medication from the stock shelves.

Required Qualifications Must be Registered with the Minnesota Board of Pharmacy prior to starting employment.
Obtain Merwin Pharmacy Certification training within a year from original date of hire.
Must maintain in good standing with the Pharmacy Board requirements with regards to certification and or CE requirements.
Preferred Qualifications Previous Pharmacy experience.
Nationally Certified with the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board.
Education High School Diploma or GED.
Clinical Licensure Required Pharmacy Technician
