Hospitality Parking is looking for the right individual to become our next Hotel Valet Shift Supervisor. The Hotel Valet Shift Supervisor helps lead our team of Valet Attendants at our TownePlace Suites and Hotel Indigo.
This is a fast paced position and not for the faint of heart. Are you up to the challenge?
OVERVIEW OF RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Shift Supervisor is responsible for ensuring that all parking duties operate in a safe, attentive, friendly and efficient manner, ensuring that all guests are provided with quality and safe service of the parking and retrieving of their vehicle.
Parking, as well as supervising the parking of guest vehicles and retrieving valet parked guest vehicles in a timely and courteous manner; using claim tickets to ensure appropriate delivery of vehicle. Move from door post to and from other areas throughout in response to guest needs.
Convey information and ideas clearly.
Must be able to evaluate and choose alternate courses of action quickly and accurately.
Must be effective in handling problems in the workplace, including but not limited to anticipating, preventing, identifying and solving problems as necessary.
Must have the ability to gather information from all sources available and know how to use this information to best resolve a problem or need.
Must be effective in listening to and understanding the concerns and issues raised by co-workers and guests.
Be inquisitive, understand why policies are written and be able to explain/justify to subordinates.
Approach all encounters with guests and employees in a friendly, service-oriented manner.
Establish and maintain attentive, friendly, helpful, courteous and efficient hospitality at the valet podium and all work areas.
Respond to all guest's requests, problems and/or complaints presented to valet in an attentive, courteous and efficient manner. Follow up to ensure guest satisfaction.
Develop employee morale and ensure training of valet personnel.
Act as "manager on duty" in the absence of Account Manager.
Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming, which includes wearing the proper uniform and nametag when working. (Adhering to standards of appearance includes but is not limited to the following standard: no visible tattoos, no facial hair)
Maintain regular attendance in compliance with Hospitality Parking standards, as required by scheduling which may vary according to the needs of business.
Maintain a warm and friendly demeanor at all times.
Employees must be at all times attentive, friendly, helpful and courteous to all guests, managers and fellow employees.
Establish and maintain good communication and team work with fellow employees and other departments and partner businesses.
Load and unload luggage carts and vehicles when necessary.
Ability to work well in stressful, high-pressure situations.
BASIC REQUIREMENTS TO JOIN THE TEAM:
Valid Texas Driver's License
Must be at least 20 years old
Must be able to drive a "stick-shift" transmission vehicle
Must have open and flexible availability
Must have a "hospitality personality"
Must be completely clean shaven and not have any visible tattoos
Must be comfortable working on their feet
Must be able to work in all types of weather
Must have high endurance and physical stamina
The ability to run 5 + miles per 8-hour shift
The ability to lift and carry luggage up to 50 lbs.
Criminal Background and Motor Vehicle Record checks are mandatory for all prospective new employees.
