ABOUT THE JOB Assist the location and Human Resource Team in carrying out various HR programs and procedures, perform administrative tasks, and coordinate various aspects of the location’s business plan actions.

YOUR ASSIGNMENT Your main tasks will include:
  • Coordinate, process, and maintain integrity of HRMS data and co-worker personnel files
  • Partner with Human Resource Service Center to ensure coordination of all HR processes
  • Partner with location’s HR Generalist to follow up on investigative reports (i.e. unemployment, workers’ compensation, coworker relations, etc.); file and maintain all related paperwork/documentation
  • Responsible for the administration of all co-worker programs (i.e. wellness, recognition, uniforms, training, anniversary rewards, drug & alcohol testing etc.); order and maintain corresponding supplies/materials based on location’s budget parameters
  • Support Employee Self Service (ESS)
  • Compile personnel statistics, reports and/or key performance indicators (i.e. demographics, turnover, overtime, attendance, etc.)
  • Assist the location’s Human Resource Team and/or Store Management Team to administer the location’s Learning and Development programs (i.e. course schedule, registration, attendance tracking, preparation of materials, room setup, etc.); responsible for some classroom facilitation
  • Assist the location’s Human Resource Team with the on-boarding process of new co-workers
  • Assume responsibility for other tasks and projects as assigned

YOUR PROFILE Your knowledge, skills and experience include:
Knowledge/Experience:
  • Associate’s Degree in Business or Human Resources; or High School Diploma and HR Certificate and/or relevant IKEA experience
  • 1-3 years of HR and/or administrative experience; preferably in retail, services, and/or a distribution environment.
  • Basic understanding of Human Resources and Benefits processes and concepts
  • Basic understanding of Federal, State, and Local legislation regarding personnel and labor laws
  • Computer aptitude – previous experience with HRMS and Microsoft applications Capabilities/Motivation:
