Description

As the IT Manager for HR, you will be responsible for partnering with our Human Resources business team on the creation and delivery of projects, supporting business process initiatives, and providing input to our strategic IT direction and annual planning process. This role will partner with our business teams to implement IT solutions that improve and streamline our business processes. The key areas of the business supported include our HR services, payroll, recruiting, development and reporting teams. In this role, you will have the opportunity to work with business and leadership teams to identify opportunities for improvement, build plans and business cases to achieve those improvements, and ultimately oversee the realization of those improvements by working with our various IT/delivery partners. This is an outstanding IT leadership role with a real breadth of opportunity for a proven leader who has an interest in enabling a growing business with technology solutions.

Our ideal candidate has strong general business process knowledge, including a background in consumer products and manufacturing. Strong experience and/or exposure to the HR processes are required, along with SAP project implementation and support experience. Our candidate must have strong communication and presentation skills, and be comfortable with leading presentations with business and management teams.

Position Responsibilities

• Provide expertise on business process and system integration across the HR business groups
o Includes working with the HR Services team with a focus on operational stability for payroll, employee and org management as well as People analytics, recruiting/onboarding, learning and development
o Includes working with HR teams to support and/or lead business process initiatives

• Work with key business stakeholders to develop the IT Strategy and Roadmaps for business capabilities, while also ensuring that this strategy and roadmap aligns with the broader DPSG business’ strategic plans.

• Maintain an up-to-date view of the System/Architectural landscape that supports the business functions, including appropriate documentation of system solution design, business process and/or technology decisions.

• Work with key business stakeholders to develop IT Project Proposals, with estimated costs and timelines, which meet the strategic needs of the business teams.

• Participate part-time in project execution roles to ensure that the needs of the business team are met and aligned with the strategic direction of the organization. This role can include aspects of Project Management, Solution/Architecture Development, or Quality Assurance.
o Can include gathering business requirements and translating then into design options that are cost effective, efficient, re-usable that comply with defined architectural principles and standards and that enhance the business process

• Work with the business teams to develop solutions to specific problems that leverage existing solutions and systems. Often this may require process reengineering to take advantage of existing capabilities.

• Liaise with project sponsors, business partners and other managers within the function and within the business, managing expectations for the business requirements and solution design process.

• Manage the system enhancement prioritization process with business stakeholders as well as perform quality audits from a design integrity standpoint

• Help to manage 3rd party IT service providers to ensure that the business stakeholders are being properly supported across all IT functions, and serve as an escalation point when those services are not being effectively delivered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor Degree
• 10+ years of work experience in an IT and/or a Human Resources capacity
• 5+ years of SAP experience with related business solution implementation experience (SAP HR / HCM tools)
• Strong experience with SAP Payroll and other leading HR technologies in the market a plus
• 10+ years of advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
• 3+ years of experience in a project management or leadership role
• 5% Travel
