Controls Engineer

A small manufacturing company in the Commerce City area is currently looking to add a controls engineering to their team. This controls engineer will be working on customized automation projects for manufacturing environments.

This engineer needs to have great leadership skills and be someone who is fine working both behind a desk and hands on.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manage a team of 2+ electrical engineers/controls technicians
  • Assign team members to projects that are the best fit
  • Continue education to keep up with current standards, codes, and technology
  • Train and educate team members on standards, codes, and technology
  • Be able to program all types of PLC's including, Allen Bradley, Festo, Automation Direct, ABB, and any others that apply
  • Work to meet deadlines on all projects
  • Generate wiring diagrams, wire panels, and also train assigned staff to wire panels correctly

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Experience working for an automated machinery manufacturing company
  • Understanding of electrical codes
  • PLC programming experience (preferably Allen Bradley)
  • Experience managing or supervising others
  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering highly preferred
