The analyst within Strategic Growth Operations Case Installation is accountable for the support of the maintenance of technology tools as well as the identification, testing and deployment of enhancements. This includes timely delivery of reporting and tool development activities. As part of these accountabilities, each analyst works directly with business partners to identify needs, then develop and execute on a plan for each deliverable.
 
Primary Responsibilities:

Responsible for working with team members to identify and define project requirements for new tool builds, tool enhancements or reporting needs
Identify, develop, map, and implement policy administration focused technology enhancement initiatives to promote streamlined system processes and efficiencies while supporting existing while supporting existing technology deployments
Build and maintain automation software using HP UFT
Build and deploy software using reusable automation frameworks
Design automation systems for scalability
Accountable for translating business/user requirements into technical specifications, making time estimates on effort for each specification, and then building a well formulated plan for completing each item
Accountable for managing assigned projects in a disciplined manner. Ensures that resources are developed, scope is understood, risk is managed, incidents are managed, timelines are met, communication plans are executed upon and closure happens
Responsible for tracking and documenting project progress in an online system
Accountable for ensuring that productivity and quality for assigned work is within department goals
Completes reporting builds as an assigned deliverable type. Reporting methodologies vary, but can include performance reporting, error reporting or volume reporting. Reporting tools can include SQL, MS Access, Excel or any other reporting method as needed
Completes tool builds as an assigned deliverable type. Tool types can include web applications and macros
Completes tasks related to the management of technology environments, organizational requests and other departmental planning/execution tasks
Ensures fall out from operational tasks are remediated
Accountable for following corporate standards and for following security guidelines and data governance
Identify and/or create relevant databases (e.g., fields; libraries) needed to source appropriate data
Test and review technology deployments (e.g. macros) in order to ensure accuracy and quality (e.g., compare to expected results) and assists with user acceptance testing
Provide support for software updates/upgrades and sun setting
Develop, Utilize and Maintain System/Process Documentation and Reports

Requirements

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree is or equivalent experience is required.  Master’s Degree in Information Technology or related Science discipline is desired.
3+ years or experience in data manipulation with MS ACCESS, SQL, and / or other statistical or database management programs.
3+ years of software development and testing experience in open systems.
3+ years exposure to Windows based programming systems.
2+ years with process automation.
Knowledge of automation architecture and reusability frameworks.
Experience with Visual Basic Scripting.
Excellent written and verbal communication / client facing skills are required. Must be able to successfully communicate ideas and requirements to colleagues, management and clients in an operations environment.
3+ years’ experience leading projects, including defining requirements, estimating effort, building a plan, and executing on deliverables.
3+ years of experience in communicating effectively in a matrix organization.
High aptitude for grasping new system tools and effectively applying in reporting and analysis.
Excellent time management skills, ability to manage multiple priorities with tight deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications:

Proficient analytical skills. Must be able to analyze any request for reporting or tools, ask appropriate questions when the request is not clear, and have a vision of what is required to develop solutions
Experience with automation using HP Unified Functional Testing Automation Suite.
Able to demonstrate knowledge of applicable systems and technologies
Monitor and manage systems and resources
Ability to manipulate data to reach accurate conclusions based on standard report formats or ad-hoc requests
Ability to comprehend the UnitedHealthcare business processes and their differences
Understanding of the necessity to complete work by the established deadline
Ability to work as part of a team, being respectful of the needs of others while making your needs known
Customer orientation. This role carries an expectation that innovation is the everyday occurrence, rather than above and beyond behavior
