Join us and start doing your life's best work.(sm)Primary Responsibilities: Responsible for the entire conditional payment process up until verification received.Basic Functions:  Responsible for calling the Coordination of Benefits and creating a record on new lien assignments. Responsible for handling diary-specifically those for authorization forms (WC) and authorization for lien initiation-as well as any other necessary follow ups for the verification process.Responsible for submitting the authorization forms to CMS agencies and following up for documentationProcesses conditional payment letters upon receipt within set timeframes.Processes all mail related to conditional payments on assigned files.Searches all available portals for applicable dataSend and receive correspondence to clientsCreate invoices for services rendered.Works with Management and legal staff on special projects as necessary.Performs other job functions as assigned by management.

Requirements

Requirements:High School Diploma/GED2+ years of insurance, coding, legal or claims handling experienceAbility to create and edit professional documents in MS WordAbility to create and edit spreadsheets in MS ExcelAbility to make outbound phone calls to external entities   Assets:Associates DegreeMedical, paralegal background or prior lien negotiation experienceSoft Skills:Must have strong organizational skills and detail orientedStrong written and verbal communication skillsAnalytical and problem solving skillsAbility to work in a team environmentPhysical Requirements and Work Environment:Extended periods of sitting at a computer and use of hands/fingers across keyboard or mouseOffice environmentUnitedHealth Group is working to create the health care system of tomorrow.
