KEY DELIVERABLE OF SUBJECT POSITION
The Sales Associate is responsible for the proper and efficient operation of his or her shift, within company policy, in such a manner as to ensure that the shift contributes to the increased profitability of the store.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES OF SUBJECT POSITION
Responsibilities to Customers:
*Give excellent customer service by using the “Guest Principals”.
*Offer to assist the customer while shopping.
*Use suggestive sell techniques.
*Thank the customer and invite them to return.
*React to and report customer complaints tactfully and promptly.
*Clean shelves, drives, dispensers, restrooms, store interior and other designated areas.
*Build and take down of displays.
*Stock restrooms and windshield wash supplies.
*Price, stock, rotate and count merchandise.
*Be knowledgeable and helpful about the store and the surround area.
*Operate cash register and all point-of-sale equipment efficiently.
*Keep the customer first in all aspects of the job.
*Ensure that a site survey is completed at the beginning of every shift, every day.
*Sincerely greeting and thanking all customers (outside using the intercom and in the store).
Responsibilities to Co-Workers:
*Be dependable.
*Consistently complete all shift duties.
*Maintain clean, safe work areas.
*Resolve conflicts in a positive and productive manner.
*Follow policies and procedures at all times.
*Maintain a positive and cooperative attitude.
*Report to work on time and when needed.
*Adjust to work schedule as needed.
Responsibilities to Management:
*Follow company policy and procedure and all laws governing beverage and tobacco sales.
*Follow all credit card and check cashing policies.
*Follow all company safety and security policies.
*Follow all proper vendor-receiving policies.
*Look for and eliminate safety hazards.
*Report unsafe acts or conditions to management.
*Follow directions and instructions given by the management.
*Learn to follow the proper chain of command in dealing with issues.
*Prepare required accident/incident reports immediately report such activity to the office.
*Prepare shift reports and other reports required by management.
*Follow policies and procedures established to prevent loss of cash and merchandise due to actions by employees, vendors and customers.
*Watch for employee, customer or vendor theft, and misuse of company property, drive-offs and loitering.
*Safeguard cash and merchandise.
*Handle cash and safe drops in accordance with company policies.
*Assist management in maintain building, equipment and grounds.
*Work flexible hours and perform as a team member.
Responsibilities to Company:
*Keep personnel areas secured.
*Comply with laws and ordinances.
*Wear the proper uniform while on duty as specified in the uniform policy.
*Attend training and meetings as scheduled by the store manager.
*Report all suspicious activity.
*Accomplish goals as set forth with management.
*Learn and follow all company policies and procedures at all times.
Responsibilities to Foodservice/Franchise Food:
*Ensure cleanliness of equipment and facilities.
*Observes food to ensure compliance with recipes and appearance standards.
*Work effectively between the store and the deli area.
*Maintain and exceed all quality expectations.
*Follow all sampling and marketing guidelines.
*Maintain an accurate menu and recipe guide.
*Utilize all tracking sheets (waste, pars, etc.)
