Punch Bowl Social's high-volume craft cocktail program is looking for a qualified individual to join their team as Barback. This person will be hardworking, dedicated, and experienced in bar and restaurants scenarios.
Punch Bowl Social Food & Drink is a restaurant, bar, and entertainment concept being developed nationwide. With six existing locations (Austin, Cleveland, Denver, Detroit, Portland and Schaumburg), Nation's Restaurant News has named us one of the ‘2015 Break Out Brands'.
1. Rotate kegs, juices, punches and fruit.
2. Ensure walk-in cooler clean.
3. Ensure that bartenders have the supplies they need and are set up for success.
4. Ensure all glasses, bowls and other bar equipment are clean and put away.
5. Report any observed personnel or guest issues to MOD.
6. Maintain cleanliness in all areas of the bar including counter, sinks, utensils, shelves and storage areas.
7. Assist in restocking and replenishing bar inventory and supplies.
8. Report any maintenance issues to MOD.
9. Conduct proper lifting techniques.
10. Other duties as required.
QUALIFICATION STANDARDS:
1. 1 year minimum experience busser, bar back, or server assistant.
2. Familiarity with bar set up and vernacular.
3. Ability to see bartender needs in advance.
4. Good reading, writing, basic math and verbal communication skills required.
5. Capable of using knives and other food preparation equipment safely.
PHYSICAL STANDARDS:
1. Must be able to stand and exert fast-paced mobility for period up to four (4) hours in length.
2. Must have a good sense of balance, be able to bend and kneel.
3. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
