Transportation company seeks an Operations/Dispatch Manager.
You must be reliable, well organized, possess great leadership skills, have the ability to multitask, ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment, be a team player and be productive. The ability to work up to 60 hours/week is also required.
Main responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
- Manage daily operations
- Oversee office staff and all driving staff
- Manage all vehicle maintenance
- Oversee dispatch and the scheduling of drivers and vehicles
- Oversee and manage maintenance work performed by outside vendors
- Recruit and train driving staff
- Providing weekly reports to GM
- Engage, assist and work closely with the client to ensure all requests are met or exceeded thereby ensuring client loyalty
- Answer client calls and emails in a timely manner
- Other duties as needed
Skills/Experience Required:
- Prior experience working for a transportation company is a HUGE plus ++
- Proven track record in an Operations Management role (minimum 5-8 years)
- Geographical knowledge of the roads
- SOP System experience a plus
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
- Possess the flexibility to work weekends, overtime and holidays as needed
- This job requires flexibility to be “on call” outside of normal work hours
