GC JUNIOR DEVELOPER

Position Purpose: We are looking for a Developer with strong server side skills to build our next generation of highly interactive marketing applications using the latest cutting-edge technologies. If you have proven skills developing ASP.NET MVC solutions and a passion for delivering well written and well tested code, we want to hear from you. Major Tasks, Responsibilities & Key Accountabilities: 25%-Participate in daily stand-up, bi-weekly iteration planning and other as-needed face-to-face, audioand/ or video-teleconferencing sessions. 15%-Participate in architecture discussions, design decisions and provide input in to all aspects of the system. 15%-Write clean code with good nomenclature, sensible tests and comments when necessary. 15%-Write unit tests, integration tests, and acceptance tests. 15%-Implement new features, troubleshoot and fix bugs in C#. 15%-Become more cross-functional over time so that you can assist in other areas where needed: clientside development (HTML, JavaScript, Knockout, CSS), QA testing etc. Nature and Scope: This position reports to Manager of Software Development This position has no Direct Reports Environmental Job Requirements: Environment: 1. Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable. Travel: 1. Typically requires overnight travel less than 10% of the time.Standard Minimum Qualifications: Must be eighteen years of age or older. Must pass the Drug Test. Must pass Background Check. Must pass pre-employment test if applicable. Additional Minimum Qualifications: Education Required: 8. The knowledge, skills and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a high school diplomas and/or GED. Work Experience Required: 2 Minimum Age Override: 0 Certifications & Licenses: Physical Requirements: 1. Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles. We need someone the team can trust, rely on, hang out with, bounce ideas off of, and generally interact with in a positive way both personally and professionally. * Must be smart, easy to work with and gets things done. * Super talented, in a general way. On any given day, you may be adding a new feature to the system, tracking down a bug, changing some server side code, mining some data or pitching in on testing. * Specifically talented in a programming way. You can instantly visualize solutions to problems big or small. If you’re this sort of person, you’ll know what I mean. If not then this position may not be for you. * Know the why, not just the how. We know it works, but why does it work? Why did you choose this way? * Agile(Scrum, XP) * HTML5, CSS3 * Test Driven Development, Behavior Driven Development * JavaScript/jQuery * Document Database (RavenDB, Mongo, Couch, etc.) * JavaScript MVVM frameworks such as Knockout or Angular * NServiceBus Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Competencies: * Strong web server side development skills using C# and ASP.NET MVC * Experience using ORM technology (NHibernate, Entity Framework) to map against a relational store (SQL Server) * Strong source code repository knowledge as well as branching strategies, nice to know Git.
