BASIC PURPOSE: The basic purpose of this position is to process the heavy flow of invoices from the A/P system into the general ledger.  This includes vendor invoices and employee expense reports.  This position will also support Trillium’s day to day accounting activities.

 

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist with A/P coding and invoice processing in Workflow
  • Reconcile and code employee expense reports
  • Assist with  the month end accounting close processes
  • Assist in the monitoring of the Outlook A/R Inbox folder
  • Prepares and uploads monthly journal entries
  • Prepare monthly workpapers for Trillium balance sheet accounts
  • Process monthly customer remittances
  • Interacts with shared services departments as it relates to Trillium or intercompany transactions
  • Interact with external auditors to complete the year-end audit
  • Prepare ad hoc reports and/or analysis requested by management or other departments
  • Special projects as deemed necessary

 

 

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Education:
    • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting required 
  • Experience:
    • 2-5  years’ experience in  corporate accounting; energy industry and SAP  experience a plus

 

SKILLS AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • Skills:
    • Team player with the ability to adapt and be flexible but able to work independently as well
    • Ability to manage numerous competing demands in an extremely high stress environment
    • Excellent attention to detail, time management skills and the ability to meet deadlines
    • Finance, accounting, and reporting skills
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
    • Knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Typical Physical Demands:
    • Requires prolonged sitting, some bending and stooping
    • Occasional lifting up to 25 pounds
    • Manual dexterity sufficient to operate a computer keyboard and calculator
    • Requires normal range of hearing and vision
