Caregiver - Home Care

The Rogue Valley Manor, Medford’s premier retirement community is seeking caregivers to join our team of in-home care services. Preferred candidates are willing to work any and all shifts including overnight, evenings, weekends, dayshift, etc.If helping people comes second nature to you, you might be ready for a career as a caregiver. Caregivers work in the home and help their clients with their daily activities such as bathing and bathroom functions, feeding, grooming, companionship, and some housework. Caregivers must be patient, especially since they work with elderly – possibly disabled – residents on a daily basis. Having excellent time-management skills, being detail-oriented and having interpersonal skills are also important. Since caregivers stand for extended periods throughout the day, lift or turn residents and assist residents with daily tasks, having a level of physical stamina is helpful. No experience necessary. Training occurs on the job by a nurse, supervisor or other caretaker for all employees. High school diploma or equivalent is required. English language comprehension and literacy required.
