Facility Manager - Full-time

Best Friends Fur Ever provides full service dog care to our clients. We provide daycare, overnight care, training, and grooming as a part of our services to our canine best friends. We employ dependable, friendly, and loyal individuals with a positive attitude, excellent work ethic, willingness to roll up the sleeves and get dirty (really dirty!), experienced in dog handling, and a genuine love of dogs.

Job Summary: Facility Manager

The  facility manager  handles day-to-day  responsibilities including but not limited to determining employees’ daily work schedules, hiring and training staff, employee development and ensuring supervision of the dog handlers and completion of appropriate dog daycare protocols, scheduling clients, establishing new policies, and working as a member of the management team.  Leadership skills, ability to work as part of a team, positive mindset, and a strong desire to learn and succeed are necessary.  The Facility Manager directly supervises 3-4 other managers, and indirectly supervises 30-40 other staff members and 6 divisions.  The Facility Manger is responsible for ensuring excellent staffing and training for all aspects of BFFE, as well as leading the team by example.

Candidates must be able to lift 30-40 pounds on a daily basis,  Work with cleaning chemicals safely,  Must be able to walk and move easily and quickly on a steeply graded hill over tiers of varying heights = max tier height = 3 feet, Must be able to use hands and lifting techniques to lift dogs from crates of varying levels, Must be able to use hands and fingers to write, type, and notate client and canine records, must be able to verbally communicate with dogs and humans, must be able to use a shovel, broom, and other tools to complete job requirements, and must be able to hear various vocal communications, must posess excellent phone skills.

Weekends and Holidays are required.   Expectations to work 45-50 hours per week.  Candidates MUST have prior management experience.  Work history in the Pet Care Industry is required as well.  Paid personal time off, 401K profit sharing, medical benefits, and long term/short term disability benefits are part of the compensation package.
