Production Manager / Operations Manager - Full-time / Part-time

Pay range commensurate with experience.  Immediate opening at leading manufacturing plant in Birmingham, AL area. Must be willing to supervise/manage off-hours production shifts.

REQUIREMENTS:

• 2 years’ recent experience in automotive manufacturing management.
• Education – EITHER:
• BS degree in relevant field (manufacturing management, business management, quality management, etc.), OR…
• Min. 10 years’ experience in automotive transfer / progressive press / metal stamping / robotic welding

• 5 years’ experience supervising employees, including front line supervisors/managers.
• Excellent LEADERSHIP and communication skills – able to connect well with supervisors and front line employees, while holding team accountable. Effective at coaching, evaluating.
• Familiarization with MRP and scheduling concepts; SAP preferred.
• Excellent computer skills (especially Excel & Production and Inventory Control Systems).
• Proven effectiveness in utilizing key data to improve safety, quality and production efficiency.
• Willingness to work off-hours production shifts; able to flex schedule if needed.

RESPONSIBILITIES:  Will work in partnership with day shift production manager in ensuring production and quality goals are met in facility on consistent basis (both positions reporting to general plant manager).
