Our Manufacturing team ensures the high quality condition of millions of satellite receivers and remote controls.  State-of-the-art facilities in El Paso, TX, Spartanburg, SC, and Englewood, CO use advanced diagnostic tools and automated equipment to test, refurbish and redistribute hardware to customers.

 

The Manufacturing Supervisor manages and coordinates the activities and efficiencies of employees in a production work cell for the repair and refurbishing of satellite TV receivers.

QUALIFQUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

• Four year degree from college or technical school preferred
• 2-3 years of previous manufacturing supervisory experience
• Experience with Lean Manufacturing principles, 5-S and KanBan is preferred
• Excellent computer skills in MicroSoft Office Suite, especially Excel
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating/maintenance/procedure instructions
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
• Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

 

REASONING ABILITY
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

• Reviews productivity of employees on a daily basis for accuracy and compliance with established procedures, and determines workload for team members.

• Determines work procedures, prepares work schedules, and expedites workflow.

• Studies and standardizes procedures to improve efficiency of subordinates.

• Traces history of unresolved issues to determine reasons for errors or needed corrections and recommends remedial actions to resolve discrepancies.

• Other responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

• Advises employees on daily work productivity levels and conducts weekly meeting with team members.

• Capable of performing all job duties of direct reports at a high level of proficiency.
