Keystone Resort has one of America's best terrain parks, A51, located just an hour from Denver. The A51 Terrain Park is famous for its unique features and has been honored with numerous awards, including Top 10 Terrain Parks by Transworld Magazine and Top 10 Terrain Parks by Freeskier Magazine. A51 boasts 60 acres with over 100 features and a park specific lift.

 

The position of Terrain Park Grooming Supervisor assists the Park Manager with all needs of the department and the supervision of the cat crew.  The Supervisor is responsible for the overall grooming, construction, delegation of daily tasks/projects, and layout of the terrain park including the half pipe and jump line (from start to finish).

 

Additional responsibilities may include:

 

  • Scheduling
  • Employee evaluations
  • Park reports
  • Training and coaching of personnel on daily operations in the park
  • Safety policies
  • Coordinating repairs and maintenance of equipment
  • Communicating across all areas of the resort internally and externally
  • Assisting in the interview process of new hires and in the selection process of rehires
  • Ensures compliance with all Risk Management, health and safety protocols
  • Able to work all shifts at any given time.
  • Perform safe transportation of rails and other Terrain Park features.
  • Efficiently use time with machinery and tools.
  • Attend scheduled meetings; give feedback and present information for events, photo shoots, department and resort planning.

  

Job Qualifications:

 

  • 5+ years experience in terrain park cat operations and maintenance
  • 3+ years Half-pipe building and Zuagg experience – required
  • 2+ years previous supervisory experience – required
  • 1+ years experience working with major events/Photo Shoots - required
  • Valid & Current Drivers license
  • Advanced Skiing/Snowboarding ability - required
  • Able to Lift 100 Lbs - required
  • Able to work in a guest service environment and appear professional at all times
  • Communicate effectively with other members of the team
  • Able to work all shifts at any given time, including weekends and holidays – required
  • Able to work outside of a snowcat in inclement and adverse weather conditions
  • 1+ years Welding/fabrication experience – required
  • Basic Microsoft Office - required
  • Must be able to construct jump lines from start to finish - required
  • Must be able to operate terrain park equipment such as Winch Cats, and Zaugg Pipe Cutters - required
  • Knowledge of risk management
  • Knowledge of Google Sketch-up - preferred
  • Working in a guest relations position (1-2 years) – preferred
  • 1+ years heavy machine experience - preferred
