MATERIAL HANDLERS AND SUPPORT

Responsibilities - Material Handlers
* Ability to operate forklifts (certification is required), pallet jack and scissor lift.
* At beginning of shift material handler is to inspect their equipment and report any damage or concern for the equipment assigned to them for the day
* The material is to be evaluated for any defects.
* Approximately 2,000 pieces of material arrive at the site each week.

Material is comprised of:

1) Production materials in the form of Wind Turbine parts (Nacelles, Gear Boxes, Electronics, Bearings, and other parts).

2) Numerous production kits used for fabrication.

3) Indirect Materials and Capital Equipment used to sustain plant operations.

* After a load has been picked up from receiving, verify that the material matches the tag before storing in designated location or taking it to the requested workstation.
* Distribute material in a timely manner:
o PICK TICKETS: Handlers are to secure the material and deliver it to the proper workstation. Once complete, Handlers obtain another ticket and periodically check with the work stations to determine if additional product is needed and/or move trash to proper bins.
o STORAGE ITEMS TICKET: Handlers are to take product to the designated storage are in the warehouse.
* Material Handlers are to continually check with the line they are servicing that day or the dock for product need or products that need to be stored.
* Monitor kit locations, returning empty kits to queuing area and backfill with received kits from warehouse.
* When there is an issue escalates issues to the appropriate next level for assistance in resolving the issue.
o Crates cracked - check in side to determine if material is damaged if so escalate and create a damaged ticket.
o Material is supposed to be in a certain location and if it can't be found escalate to Lead.
* Monitor receiving queues for assigned items with receiving tickets. Relocate materials to lay-down area in yard. This activity is performed throughout the day.


* Fulfill shop requisitions as assigned by PSA Lead.

o Uncrate and relocate material from stocking locations to production areas.

* Disassemble crates, segregate packaging materials, and haul to appropriate waste stream on site. This produces approximately three trucks of wood chips per week. Crates are broken down by a designated set of Material

Handlers.

o Throughout the day this task is to be completed.

* Operate compactor and wood chipper as needed to process waste.
