The job of our Enterprise Interaction Designer is to imagine the internal product experience and bring a vision to life that instills inspiration and creates an alluring interaction. You will have the opportunity to explore The Home Depot’s most complex requirements and create right-brained, exoteric and easy to use designs for thousands of THD associates. Swinging this goal requires collaboration with Designers, Researchers, and Engineers.

Through a deep understanding of how The Home Depot associates perform their daily duties, the Enterprise UX team will heighten the usability, create workflow efficiencies, and captivate our users through the enablement of intuitive cross channel technology solutions.

Preferred Qualifications: - 5 plus years of demonstrable experience as a UX Designer, Interaction Designer, UX Architect, and/or Information Architect. 

  • Must be able to manage his/her time effectively by quickly prioritizing projects and by delegating to junior designers. 
  • Deliverables will include but are not limited to: mental models, user journeys, personas, scenarios, low & high fidelity prototypes, wireframes. 
  • Understanding and experience of UX within an Agile Development Process 
  • Ability to analyze both quantitative and qualitative data and present findings and recommendations.
  • Experience producing annotated wireframes, & clickable prototypes
  • Solid experience employing a variety of user-centered iterative design methodologies and objective evaluation techniques (e.g., requirements visualization, design studio, contextual inquiry, rapid contextual design, user journey mapping.) 
  • Solid proficiency with a variety of rapid prototyping and visualization tools (e.g., Axure, iRise, Balsamiq, Omnigraffle, Visio, Adobe CC, UXPin, etc.), with at least a high-level understanding of how HTML, CSS, and JavaScript can be used for prototyping purposes. 
  • Experience participating and facilitating user research and usability. 

Education Required: Degree in Engineering, Psychology, Industrial Design, Computer Science, Interaction Design, HCI or other related technology degree or equivalent work experience 

Standard Minimum Qualifications: Must be eighteen years of age or older. Must pass the Drug Test. Must pass Background Check.

Work Experience Required: 5 years

NATURE AND SCOPE -Typically reports to Manager, Information Technology. No direct responsibility for supervising others.

ENVIRONMENTAL JOB REQUIREMENTS -Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.
