Flagger/Traffic Control Specialist - Part-time

WHAT ARE THE QUALIFICATIONS TO BECOME A TRAFFIC CONTROL SPECIALIST/FLAGGER?

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent
• Provide and maintain valid Driver's License with acceptable driving history
• Negative drug test as well as acceptable criminal background check
• Willingness to complete and successfully pass 1 week of classroom training to include, but not limited to, ATSSA Certification, CPR/First Aid Certification, Drug-Free Workplace, defensive driving.
• Positive, safety-conscious attitude.
• Ability to recognize what a driver is going to do, how he/she will react to being stopped or slowed down, whether or not he/she intends to speed up in defiance of the flagger.
• Ability to calm rather than pour gasoline on frustrated drivers' hot tempers.
• Flexible availability
