Description

Responsible for supporting the Warehouse Direct business unit, the Sales Finance Manager will partner with Regional Sales teams assisting them in achieving business unit objectives as well as delivering the annual operating plan. This position will assist the sales team with trade management as well as financial analysis to drive distribution and availability of the Warehouse Direct portfolio. Working with cross-functional teams, this position will also help identify gap closure opportunities through category and retail data analysis.

Accountabilities

Sales Support

  • Partner with sales account executives to increase distribution and availability of the Warehouse Direct portfolio (Juice, Juice Drinks, Vegetable Juice, Dairy, Sauce, Mixers)
  • Assist sales with overall trade management of promotional activities, programs, new distribution, etc., ensuring compliance with pricing architecture and trade spend policy
  • Identify performance gaps and address root cause through the Corrective Action Plan (CAP) process
  • Drive customer profitability through product mix analysis, evaluation of incremental investment opportunities and post event analysis.
  • Leverage Nielsen/Scan data to understand retail, category, competitive performance
  • Hold monthly business review with sales to review business drivers and priorities
  • Monitor and resolve invalid customer deductions


FP&A

  • Assist in the development of the Annual Operating Plan
  • Review monthly forecast shipment volumes for accuracy
  • Customer Gross Margin analysis (Volume/Rate/Mix)
  • Provide FP&A group with monthly business drivers as well as risks and opportunities


Qualifications

Candidate must be a self-starter, have solid broad-based finance skills and must possess strong leadership and teamwork skills. Additional qualifications include:

  • BS/BA Degree in Accounting/Finance. MBA a plus.
  • 8-10 years related work experience (Finance) as well as broad business knowledge.
  • Good understanding of business process and analysis tools.
  • Strong analytical and technical skills. Highly proficient in Excel and other MS Office applications, ability to model business requirements and prepare "what-if" analysis, proficiency in SAP, Siebel/TPM and TM1 a plus.
  • Must possess good written and oral communication skills.
  • Must be able to lead and be able to manage projects across multiple departments with limited supervision.
