This position will be responsible for leading conversation and guiding implementations with customers in support of products in the Healthcare Utility Services suite in the Optum Cloud.  As an architect leading this effort, this person will need a mix of leadership, business communication and technical skills to ensure our service consumers are effectively implemented and ramped up on our systems. The ideal candidate will have experience working with both the business and IT with the ability to communicate various technical concepts to a non-technical audience. This role may also lead a team of junior BA/Solution Architects. 
 
 
Additionally, we need someone who conceptually understands web services, both SOAP and REST and has strong data skills including analytics and database queries.
  
Primary Responsibilities:

Drive customers to define the most effective solution to their business problems while also leveraging industry knowledge to assert competitive advantage
Provide customers with implementation of product features in collaboration with business and IT stakeholders
Gather requirements and relate requirement information back to technical team
Includes developing and documenting business rules that can apply to the current customer, but are flexible enough to apply to additional customers
Includes working with Architecture to drive schema changes to best serve customers
Help write custom client documents (such as Business Rules, Data Templates, etc.)
Setup Customers across multiple products and environments
Consult with Customer for logic pertaining to web services and/or bulk loads
Support the integration testing of Customer logic (E.g. Provide Test Cases, participate in some QA work, foresee potential issues to avoid processing errors, etc.)
 
 
 
 
 

Requirements

 
Required Qualifications:

5+ years in the software engineering and/or health care profession
5+ years’ experience in a client facing role, gathering and documenting technical requirements
5+ years’ experience with data analysis (using Excel, Access, SQL and/or Oracle)
Experience working with customers and their data both internally and externally
Previous experience with implementation, business analyst and support of customers
Bachelor's Degree or HS Diploma/GED with 4+ years of equivalent work experience
Experience with implementations using Pentaho ETL tool
 
 
Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with assisting in the development of product manuals and/or processes and procedures
Ability to read and interpret various customer files (xml, json, pipe delimited)
Ability to read and interpret Logical models (relational ERDs, Cartesian products, NoSQL, etc.)
Experience with process improvement, workflow, benchmarking and / or evaluation of business processes
Proven experience delivering software using an Agile/Scrum methodology
