The Indirect Sales and Marketing Channel operates DISH BrandDRIVE, an online marketing platform for DISH Authorized Retailers. The tool employs marketing methods for the Local Retailer Indirect Sales channel, and this position will manage extensive day-to-day communication with our vendor partner (and a myriad of marketing assistants) within the custom creative development area of the site.

  • Bachelor’s Degree from four-year college or university and one or two plus years of sales and perhaps advertising agency experience; or at least two years related career experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Independent thinker and problem-solver; project management experience also a plus.
  • Excellent communication and writing (i.e., grammatical, spelling) skills are required.
  • Present information clearly and respond professionally to questions from managers, colleagues, associates, retailer clients and external vendor partners.
  • Ability to travel occasionally to attend sales events.
  • Bilingual capabilities (English/Spanish/possibly other) always a plus but not required.
  • Need to gain understanding of retailer support tools including: BrandDRIVE, DISH Portal and others as needed.
  • Familiarity with DISH marketing strategies and tactics for indirect channel is a bonus.
  • Sales experience is a plus.
  • Graphic design experience with Adobe InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop is also a plus but not required, as this is not a graphic designer position

This is an employment opportunity for an individual with energy, intellect, and the need to achieve as the premier communications expert for this advertising/marketing platform. This candidate will support Sales and Marketing in the Indirect Sales Channel. The role is important within our team’s communication to vendor, sales teams and any partner or retailer who needs to order custom creative through DISH BrandDRIVE.  In addition, communications will be needed to DISH field sales teams. Candidate must be an excellent, detailed and concise communicator, and must be able to handle multiple facets of incoming and outgoing projects. Strong organizational skills are essential to keep up with a demanding workflow.

 

Primary responsibilities fall into the following categories:

 

  • Facilitates the workflow of marketing projects for the Creative Exchange department
  • Collects and records feedback from internal and field sales teams and strategizes to design and communicate solutions to solve problems.
  • Aligns with Distributor sales teams to ensure all pertinent information regarding BrandDRIVE is communicated
  • Provides ongoing training and communication to SproutLoud (Media Buyers and Local Marketing Coordinators) about DISH offers and communication best practices
  • Educates field sales teams and retailers on processes of internal teams and on Sproutloud, setting expectations, communicating SLAs (Service Level Agreement expectations) and explaining benefits
  • Ensures that official communications are initiated, received and then educates all affected teams on opportunities and platform enhancements. This includes attending weekly conference calls to communicate such platform updates and marketing initiatives
  • May assist manager to provide initial training to Account Managers on platform functionality, particularly to new Account Managers and other sales team members during their initial indirect training session, and obtain logins for the platform for new hires
