BASIC PURPOSE: Provide project management and planning for construction projects from the time a project is agreed upon by all parties till the time the project is commissioned, verified, and accepted as final.  Actively communicate a project's status to all key stakeholders (including the customer) and ensure no project detail is missed or forgot about. And finally, ensure a smooth transition to field operations once a project is completed.

 

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage construction projects from inception and development of site selection through commissioning
  • Monitor, manage, and coordinate the planning and execution projects with a clear focus on safety, project schedule and project budget. Implement procedures for effective control of project activities to ensure a projects stays on schedule and within its planned budget.
  • Makes effective decisions and achieves desired results in the midst of changes in responsibilities, work processes, timeframes, performance expectations, organizational culture or work environment.  Actively supports and promotes corporate and/or business unit changes.
  • Maintain schedule of activities of team members
  • Keep details of project progress
  • Maintain site specific drawings and plans
  • Multitask between multiple projects concurrently
  • Technical support for business development and other business lines

 

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Education:
    • High school Diploma or equivalent required
    • Technical degree in Engineering, civil or Mechanical preferred
  • Experience:
    • 5+ years in the engineering and construction industry
    • Project management experience preferred

 

 

 

SKILLS AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • Skills:
    • Hard Skills: Knowledge of Microsoft Office, management skills, understanding of risk management and the ability to operate within trading guidelines
    • Soft Skills: Good written and oral communication skills, team player, exceptional customer service, attention to detail, self motivated, good time management skills, and innovative thinking
    • Ability to travel extensively
  • Typical Physical Demands:
    • Requires prolonged sitting, some bending and stooping.
    • Occasional lifting up to 25 pounds.
    • Manual dexterity sufficient to operate a computer keyboard and calculator.
    • Requires normal range of hearing and vision.
