About this job

Our boutique key holders / sales associates have a passion for fashion and providing outstanding customer service. They work closely with the store management team to support the company brand, vision, mission and growth objectives. They provide every customer best in class attention from the sales floor, the fitting rooms and at the checkout station. They are responsible for maintaining a visually appealing and impressive store environment ensuring visual merchandising, organization and operations are kept to the highest standard. They may oversee opening and or closing responsibilities depending on experience.

Key Responsibilities:

SALES

  • Work one on one with customers ensuring they receive outstanding service through their visit; go the extra mile to ensure each customer feels like she is your number 1 priority
  • Provide an efficient and friendly checkout experience. Ensure all register transactions are completed accurately and in accordance with store policy.
  • Seek opportunities to develop meaningful customer relationships and increase customer retention

STORE PRESENTATION / MERCHANDISING / INVENTORY

  • Work effectively with all team members to ensure the sales floor, cash wrap, fitting rooms and stock room are clean and well-maintained per store standards
  • Ensure store floor looks clean, inviting and a place where shoppers feel happy and relaxed
  • Perform receipt of inventory shipments and quality control activities ensuring incoming merchandise is accounted for and in perfect condition
  • Provide timely, documented feedback to home office when items have quality issues
  • Upholds merchandising and store visual standards around straightening, sizing, window displays and interior mannequins

OPERATIONS

  • Manage the store operational processes to comply with company standards and policies
  • At times, oversee opening and/or closing tasks ensuring compliance across all critical business operations
  • Incorporate loss prevention and safety practices and messages into daily operations

OTHER

  • Participate in special event opportunities to build our brand (i.e., Arbor Lakes' annual Back to School Fashion Show, local high school prom shows, features in local magazines, etc.)
  • Opportunity to grow with us including in, not limited to merchandising, markets/buying events in various cities across US, and other unique, special events.

Required Experience:

OUR IDEAL CANDIDATE

  • You have 1+ years or retail (preferred) experience
  • You have a strong desire to be part of something bigger and you are interested/excited about working for entrepreneurs in a small business environment with a desire to grow the brand and the company
  • You possess outstanding customer service and communication skills and understands the value in developing strong relationships with customers
  • You are tech savvy, familiar with POS systems, iPads, smartphones, apps, Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat, Youtube and proficient with the use of computers
  • You embody a stylish and professional appearance and take pride in presenting yourself as a reflection of our boutique brand
  • Desire to develop a strong working knowledge of the fashion industry
  • You have availability for varied weekly shifts including weekend, closing and peak shifts
  • Can lift, carry or move 35 lbs
