Job Summary:
Create programing to meet the needs of each and all residents.
Essential Functions:
- Create exciting activity programs to meet the individual needs and interests of all residents. Encompassing Independent Living Residents, Assisted Living Residents and Memory Care Residents.
- Develop a monthly activity calendar which includes large group and small group activities for residents of all levels of care.
- Develop and initiate monthly newsletters for both Assisted Living and Memory Care.
- Monitor activity budget, equipment, and supplies.
- Train all staff on how to assist in and initiate an activity for residents.
- Ensures that activity programs meet all state, federal, and local regulations.
- Coordinates with the marketing committee special events for the community.
- Train, supervise, and coordinate volunteers.

Education and Experience:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and previous experience in coordinating activities in a healthcare setting required. Recreation Therapy degree preferred.
Certifications, Licenses, and other Special Requirements:
Valid Drivers License required for vehicle travel as needed.

Working Conditions:
- Requires interaction with coworkers & vendors Occasional weekend, evenings

Knowledge and Skills:
Basic typing skills are essential along with basic knowledge of PCs and word processing software programs.
