Job Description & Qualifications:

Job Summary

Responsible for maximizing sales and revenue growth for customers with national account agreements. Analyze industry data for clients and various internal groups and develop targeted sales ideas. Identify profitable business relationships with new customers, recommend maximum exposure of HD Supply amongst targeted prospects, and work with customer on complaint resolution. Facilitate a smooth transition to HD Supply business for clients.

Major Tasks, Responsibilities and Key Accountabilities

  • Assesses the feasibility and strengths of projects, campaigns and strategies as they affect individual and multiple accounts. Develops, recommends and implements trend based Sales and Marketing campaigns for individual management companies.
  • Calculates and analyzes ROI. Recommends and advises sales representatives and Managers on trends.
  • Analyzes sales data and management company buying habits and patterns. Creates reports for presentation to management.
  • Shares responsibility with national accounts for and field sales management for execution and implementation of customer contracts.
  • Rolls out programs and campaigns to increase account penetration and or sales with existing customers. Anticipates future needs of the customer to maintain or become the primary supplier.
  • Works with customers on complaint resolution with multiple departments or businesses. Assists in maintenance of sales portfolios. Backs up for National Account positions as needed.

Nature and Scope

  • Performs full range of standard professional level of work that typically requires processing and interpreting more complex, less clearly defined issues. Identifies problems and possible solutions and takes appropriate action to resolve. Demonstrates skill in data analysis techniques by resolving missing/incomplete information, inconsistencies/anomalies in more complex research/data.
  • Nature of work requires increasing independence; receives guidance only on unusual complex problems or issues. Work review typically involves periodic review of output by supervisor and/or direct "customers" of the process.
  • May provide general guidance/direction to or train junior level support personnel or professional personnel.

Work Environment

  • Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.
  • Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.
  • No travel required.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Must be eighteen years of age
  • Must pass the Drug Test
  • Must pass the Background Check
  • Must pass pre-employment tests if applicable

Education and Experience

  • Typically requires BS/BA in related discipline. Generally 2-5 years of experience in related field; certification is required in some areas OR MS/MA and generally 2-4 years of experience in related field. Certification is required in some areas.

  • Experience reporting and presenting to multiple levels, both inside and outside sales leadership.
  • Knowledge and skill in statistics, math and logic data structures.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication.
  • Self-motivated, demonstrated ability to work with minimal supervision.
