PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Follow up with court and member on documents and payments and send appropriate letter to the member
  • Open and process departmental mail
  • Process payments to be taken/mailed to the court
  • Set up and maintain attorney calendar
  • Send letters to members based on court documents
  • Prepares motions for attorneys
  • Work call back screen
  • Scanning and linking documents with Acrobat and Windows image readers; scanner and Xerox, Abacus/Time Matters
  • Negotiate with courts
  • Enter information and maintain ToDo schedule in Abacus/Time Matters
  • Other duties as required by supervisor.

  • Receptionist (relief)
  • Ticket entry
  • Back up In-State Referrals
  • Back up In-House Referrals

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/SKILL REQUIREMENTS

  • High School Diploma, some college and/or legal experience preferred.
  • Typing 40 words per minute
  • Accuracy, attention to detail and speed required
  • Experience with word processing and database software such as Word, Outlook, Abacus, Time Matters and Adobe.
  • Excellent communication and writing skills
  • Strong prioritization, organization and multi-tasking
  • Problem solving
  • Good telephone communication skills; courtesy and professionalism
  • Must be self-motivated and able to work well with minimal supervision
  • Ability to follow instructions and work within policies and procedures and deadlines
  • Must be comfortable interacting with LegalShield members, Attorneys and members of the court on a daily basis
