Universal Orlando Resort Bus Drivers are in the driver's seat; taking our guests on an excursion to fun. Resort Bus Drivers have an opportunity to be in the spotlight by performing an interactive “spiel” for our guests, all while maintaining expected guest safety and service standards. 

Resort Bus Drivers at Universal Orlando are responsible for:

  • Assisting guests by loading and unloading their belongings.
  • Maintaining passenger manifests per department policies and procedures.
  • Maintaining bus cleanliness along with its facilities.
  • Conducting daily inspections for service issues and reporting issues to the appropriate contacts.
  • Understanding and actively participating in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established Universal Orlando policies, procedures, training, and Team Member involvement activities.
  • Performing other duties as assigned. 


To perform the role of a Resort Bus Driver successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.  The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

  • Consistent attendance is a job requirement.
  • High school degree or GED preferred.
  • Six months to one year previous bus driving experience is preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Commercial Driver’s License, Class B with a P must be maintained in order to continue emplyment in this role. 
  • Will be required to undergo Department of Transportation (DOT) physical and random drug testing.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. 
  • Ability to write simple correspondence. 
  • Ability to speak effectively before groups of guests or Team Members of organization.
  • Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. 
  • Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

The physical demands described below are representative of those that must be met by an individual to successfully perform the essential functions of the Resort Bus Driver job. 

  • While performing the duties of this job, the individual is regularly (2/3 or more of time) required to sit, talk or hear, use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls; occasionally (up to 1/3 of time) required to stand, walk, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, reach with hands and arms.
  • The individual must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include use close vision (clear vision at 20 inches or less), Distance Vision (clear vision at 20 feet or more); Color Vision (ability to identify and distinguish colors), Peripheral Vision (ability to observe an area that can be seen up and down or to the left and right while eyes are fixed on a given point) Depth Perception (three-dimensional vision, ability to judge distances and spatial relationships), Ability to Adjust Focus (ability to adjust the eye to bring an object into sharp focus).

The work environment characteristics described below are representative of those an individual encounters while performing the essential functions of the Resort Bus Driver job. 

  • While performing the duties of this job, the individual is regularly exposed to fumes or airborne particle, vibration; occasionally exposed to outdoor weather conditions.
  • While performing this job, the noise level in the work environment is loud.
