Job summary:
To support the day-to-day operations of the café. This job is customer service focused 100% of the time.
Essential functions:
● Prepare food and drink in the following stations: espresso, smoothie, fresh juice, sandwich.
● Support the hot/cold buffet set-up, maintenance and breakdown.
● Prep food for, maintain & face the Grab & Go Case.
● Stock and maintain the coffee station, soup station & bakery case.
● Prep various café items used in production, for ex. veggies for juice and smoothie station, slice meats for sandwich station items.
● Responsible for the overall cleanliness of the café including trash, tables, floor, condiments, counters, soup pots, microwaves, baked goods bins.
● Upkeep of sanitary practices and quality control including the cleaning of all stations listed above as well as tables, counters, utensils, oven, floors and trash.
● Process commissary totes to maintain quality of all perishables.
● Assist with inventory control and dating of all perishables.
● Opening and closing café using set guidelines.
● Operate register to process customer orders as needed.
