POSITION DESCRIPTION:

This role will support and be a key partner to the CRHF Sr. Director of Research and Technology and Research & Technology management and teams of scientists and engineers. Daily activities include interaction with high-level contacts and exposure to sensitive information requiring considerable use of tact, diplomacy, discretion, and judgment.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

* Performs various administrative duties including preparing travel itinerary to include flight/hotel/ground transportation arrangements, manages management staff's email and calendars, prepares expense reports for signature, manages files/archived documents, and other requests for information.

* Takes the initiative to act quickly, professionally, and is flexible when managing many tasks simultaneously. Ensures accuracy, diplomacy, and judgment when handling telephone calls, documents, correspondence, or visitors.

* Type correspondence, reports, and presentations into final format which reflects professionalism and formatting is consistent with type of presentation being made. Ensures company policy and procedures are adhered to.

* Schedules meetings and ensures the room reservation/equipment/food orders are set up and starts (dial-in) the teleconferences, video conferences, WebEx/Live Meetings to get the meeting started.

* Acts as an information resource on organizational and Company policies and procedures.

* Manages numerous logs and reports where information from a variety of sources is requested and where action items and/or issues are resolved.

* Applies knowledge of business priorities and company organization when assisting in the development, implementation and monitoring of internal operating systems and procedures.

* Conducts special projects as directed.

* Provides project support to a functional group or business process as needed.

* Interacts with peers and upper management on a daily basis.

* Cognizant of business priorities, personnel, and Company practices.

* Consistently follow department and Medtronic policies.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

IN ORDER TO BE CONSIDERED FOR THIS POSITION, THE FOLLOWING BASIC QUALIFICATIONS MUST BE EVIDENT ON YOUR RESUME:

EDUCATION REQUIRED: High School degree or GE

YEARS OF EXPERIENCE: 4+ years of administrative support experience

SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED:

* Strong verbal and written communication skills

* Experience with Microsoft Office applications, video/audio conferencing

* Demonstrated planning, organizational, problem solving, and judgment skills

* Experience with meeting/calendar coordination

* Budget/cost center management

* Ability to work independently and as a team member

* Flexibility and adaptability

* Ability to work well under pressure in a fast paced dynamic environment

DESIRED/PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

* Associate's Degree

* Medtronic administrative experience

* CPS or CAP certificates

* Experience supporting senior management (Director, VP levels)

* Advanced knowledge with Microsoft Office applications, video/audio conferencing

* Experience with Medtronic's eCats program for contracts and consulting payments
