Blue Line Foodservice Distribution/Little Caesars Pizza is now hiring for a class A cdl route driver to join our team in our Greensboro Distribution Center. This position will report to the Transportation Supervisor. Blue Line is the in house distributor for Little Caesars, and delivers only to their stores. 1 year experience required in tractor/trailer with a class A cdl, with no more than 3 moving violations on the mvr in the last 3 years, and no more than 1 preventable accident in the past 3 years.

Pay is hourly based on experience, with overtime after 40 hours. Normal work week is 44-52 hours. Starting pay between $19.59-22.04/hour. Late model Freightliners sleepers(2012-2014) through Penske with PeopleNet for dispatch, navigation, etc. Lift gate and electric pallet jack to ease movement of food products. 2 week training program with other drivers to understand the different routes, warehouse roles, meet all colleagues, etc. The position starts with different routes as you fill in for the route drivers as needed, but dedicated route can be achieved with seniority. Routes re-bid on yearly basis. Mostly night routes that cover the surrounding areas. 2 overnight routes per week. Areas covered include NC, parts of SC, TN, and VA (No DC). Generally this is a Sunday-Thursday work week, but would need to be available for other dates as needed.

Job Summary

Performs daily pre and post trip vehicle inspections of tractor and trailer and have deficiencies corrected if vehicle is not safe to operate.

Operates on board recording system (OBR) and adheres to all Blue Line policies, D.O.T. regulations, and all federal, state and local traffic laws while driving.

Selects and repeatedly lifts products weighing up to sixty (60) pounds from temperature controlled trailer.

Delivers products primarily at night, through use of hand truck and/or lift gate method into designated customer locations including walk in cooler.

Provides courteous, prompt and professional customer service at all times.

Required Skills

Minimum Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Must be D.O.T. qualified, with an acceptable CSA score, knowledgeable and able to pass all pre-employment requirements.

Must possess a satisfactory driving record.

Ability to repeatedly lift up to sixty (60) pounds in order to unload truck at multiple stop locations.

Must be available to work a flexible schedule, including but not limited to nights, weekends, layovers, holidays, as well as short notice.

Possess a valid class A cdl and medical examiner's certificate.

One year experience and 100,000 miles of verifiable tractor-trailer experience.

Must be at least 21 years of age.

Working Conditions:

Drives a tractor-trailer combination vehicle during shift.

Position requires frequent standing, lifting, bending and moving of product (sixty pounds +).

May be exposed to varying temperatures and seasonal climate conditions due to exposure, external of tractor-trailer.
