Mechanical Technician - Valve Repair

PrideStaff St. Louis Southwest is currently interviewing for experienced and reliable Valve Repair Technician for one of our established and reputable clients in Fenton, MO. This is a full-time, temp-to-hire position with comprehensive benefits upon hire.

**Minimum of 2 years in related field and/or training**

Job Description:

· Mechanically diagnose, troubleshoot, inspect, test, and repair safety valves

· Measure tolerance of safety valve to help determine performance and issues (i.e. damaged seat valve seating surface, spring too rusty, etc)

· Ability to learn or know how to use a crane to move heavier valves

· Perform disassembly, inspection, reporting, cleaning, and reassembly of safety valves

Job Requirements:

· Mechanically inclined

· Minimum of 2 years’ experience in field or related training

· Must have a high attention to detail

· Must have consistent and reliable means of transportation

· Must be willing to submit to a background check and drug screen

· Must provide 2 work references (no personal references please)

· Must be able to follow attendance and cell phone policy
