Staffmark in Lathrop has an opportunity for an HR Generalist for a well known, established Company located in the Vernalis/Patterson area. The ideal candidate will be working out of the Vernalis location, but traveling to Patterson on a weekly basis, (mileage costs reimbursed) to ensure all plant functions are being performed as dirested by the Area Manager.
Oversee recruiting, testing, and selection process to fill vacant positions; plan and conduct new employee orientation to foster positive attitude toward company goals.
Mentor and coach management team with employee relations issues and participate in appropriate resolution.
Be knowledgeable of policies, procedures and programs; advise and respond to inquiries appropriately.
Manage the performance review program to ensure effectiveness, compliance and equity within organization.
Oversee safety management within the plant by providing new hire and monthly training to all personnel, routine safety audits, accident investigation and reporting, and maintaining compliance documentation and postings.
Identify legal requirements and government reporting regulations affecting human resources functions and ensure policies, procedures, and reporting are in compliance; oversee the analysis, maintenance, and communication of records required by law, local governing bodies, and other departments in the organization.
Analyze wage and salary reports and data to determine competitive compensation plan.
Manage records of benefits plans participation and personnel transactions; conduct weekly payroll processing and reporting.

Requirements

Must be English/Spanish bilingual 2+ years of HR experience in a plant or industrial environment BS/BA in Human Resources, Business or related degree Knowledge of Federal, State, and local employment laws
