Must be able to work various shifts per week.

NEMT Transportation Manager

Join the First Transit team as NEMT Transportation Manager and ensure capacity of transportation provider network to meet NEMT operational requirements. This includes recruiting, training, and monitoring transportation providers.

Major Responsibilities:

  • Ensure transportation providers are performing to contract standards.
  • Support new providers to ensure retention.
  • Assign weekly targets and assignments to Field Monitors.
  • Ensure trips are being distributed to all providers and that trip volume is commensurate with performance and fleet size.
  • Limit use non-enrolled providers to absolute minimum.
  • Review provider performance to ensure low-performing providers are identified and remediation implemented.
  • Ensure scheduler/dispatchers have the tools needed to efficiently assign trips to most appropriate transportation providers.
  • Maintain and distribute up-to-date provider list.
  • Conduct semi-annual meeting with providers.
  • Responsible for expansion of provider network including recruiting, on-boarding, and training new providers.
  • Conduct orientation for new providers.
  • Handle new hires and terminations including interviewing, training, and all relevant paperwork.
  • Report weekly statistics to NEMT Project Manager.
  • Work closely with Compliance team to ensure provider network meets all required standards.
  • Review hours for payroll processing.
  • Additional duties as needed.

Essential Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous management and/or Call Center Supervisory experience. 
  • Strong knowledge of the transportation industery and/or experience. 
  • Minimum 5 years of experience working with NEMT providers.
  • Computer literate.
  • Familiar with basic vehicle mechanical processes and maintenance.
  • Ability to effectively prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.
  • Excellent verbal, written and relational communication skills.
  • Fluent in English.
  • Demonstrate regular and consistent attendance.
  • Possess working vehicle to travel with in service area as needed.
