Ski/Snowboard School, Adult Class Lesson Supervisor -  Winter Seasonal, Full Time, Vail Mountain

 

The Adult class lesson supervisor is a member of the Vail Ski and Snowboard School management team who is responsible for the overall quality of lessons in the Lionshead Adult location.  This position will manage a family of 45-55 adult instructors, while at the same time be the liaison between other location/program supervisors, and the product sales team to ensure that all private and group lessons are booked in a manner that will ensure our guests the Experience of a Lifetime.

 

Responsibilities Include (but are not limited to):

• Hiring and training ski instructors. 
• Managing, coaching, and developing the instructor team.
• Scheduling staff, assigning and booking lessons.
• Overall morale of program staff.
• Workplace safety and supporting safety initiatives.
• Quality control.
• Communication between all members of the team.
• Administrative duties.
• Self-development.
• Driving value for the company.
• Continuous and superior guest relations.
• Maintaining and promoting teamwork.
• Operational duties and maintenance of physical assets, and other duties as assigned.
• This position will work closely with their peers and other departments to role model the company's values and create the 'Experience of a Lifetime' for all resort guests and the staff.

 

Qualifications:  

• Must submit 2 letters of recommendation,  and a current resume - required.
• Must understand and deliver exceptional guest service.
• Strong computer skills - required.
• Strong leadership skills a must.
• Strong written skills a must.
• Must be 18 years or older - required.
• High School diploma or equivalent - required.
• Must be able to read, write, speak, and comprehend English fluently - required.
• Must be able to work weekends and holidays throughout the season - required.
• Must be able to work from October 19th, 2016 - April 28th, 2017 - required.
• Satisfactory background check - required.

• PSIA/ AASI Level 3 Certification or above - preferred.
• RPOS experience - preferred.
• 2 years previous ski/snowboard supervisory experience - preferred.
• PSIA level 2 certified- required
