4 openings on 6am or 8am shifts
Wegmans looking to hire order selectors in the distribution center in Minersville/Pottsville, PA. These positions will be contract to hires. Our contractors will be responsible packing up remaining inventory, building pallets, loading and unloading trucks and putting things away in the new warehouse
*Frequent Heavy Lifting and Bending
* Providing incredible service to the stores by accurately selecting products; understanding the critical role the job plays in the day-to-day operations of the stores and their ability to provide incredible service to our customers
* Ensuring products on lines are being selected and moved to the correct locations, keeping pace with equipment and machinery to prevent a slowing in workflow while achieving the minimum requirements of cases/ day or cases/ hour
* Reading store order and/ or using Vocollect software during product selection, accurately selecting products based on the information received to ensure stores are delivered the items they have ordered
* Building pallets of correctly selected products to be delivered to stores; ensuring pallets are neat and organized to minimize the risk of damaging product and enable stores to unload their deliveries more efficiently
* Properly handling all products, equipment and machinery in accordance with food safety and safety guidelines
* Maintaining open lines of communication with co-workers and supervisors to ensure the warehouse is operating efficiently and are working to provide incredible service to the stores
